A Russian couple has rescued a pregnant dog that was buried alive for two days.
The couple had called authorities when they heard barking from under a grey brick sidewalk, which they dug up themselves when the latter proved no help.

Workers had previously fixed a hole in the damaged sidewalk that the golden Labrador had used as a den.

Neighbours cried as the Labrador was gently coaxed out of the hole.
The dog lost its puppies following the ordeal and will be put up for a adoption.
It’s not clear who its previous owners were.
